Whichever product or formulation you use for brushing your teeth, we encourage making sure it’s made from benign, natural ingredients.
That means a product ingredient label which doesn’t show sodium fluoride, triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfate, aspartame, propelyne glycol, diethanolamine, polylactic acid, etc.
These undesirable ingredients are included in most commercial toothpastes you buy at non-health-oriented grocery or convenience stores. Healthier alternatives, however, are very easy to find or make yourself.
And it doesn’t have to be the familiar paste texture you’re used to; you can also brush your teeth with coconut oil, herbal powders, clays, or baking soda.
